Doreen & Albert Garner Visit Canada

This is a compilation taken from a home video given to me by Michael Garner (cousin) at my dad’s funeral in 2023. The video features my dad’s sister Doreen (Rotherham) Garner, with husband Albert Garner, visiting from St. Helen’s, Lancashire, UK – and Cynthia (Rotherham) Brown, with husband Eric Brown, and son Stevan Brown who lived in Hamilton, Ontario – and Alan Rotherham, Dorothy (Sainsbury) Rotherham, Neal Rotherham, and Janice (Rotherham) Palmer.

The video was taken when my dad’s sister Doreen visited Canada in the summer of 1964. I had just turned two. My brother Neal would have been almost five years old and my cousin Stevan would have been about nine. Doreen and Albert’s children, Michael and his sister Lesley, were born a few years later.
